Produced from coconut shells, its obtained from the low oxygen, controlled burning of the material with a temperature of 800 to 1000 ºC, resulting in a carbon material with high porosity e large internal surface area. The granules acquire the necessary hardness to avoid excessive loss due to friction.
Since it has an absolutely neutral chemical structure, Activated Carbon does not interfere directly in the water properties (Alkalinity, hardness, pH), possessing excellent characteristics in the filtering, deodorization and toxic and radioactive removal fields.
APPLICATIONS
Activated Carbon is used for potable or industrial water and effluent treatment. Largely utilized in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries in the purification of water, effluents, air and other gases. Activated Carbon is also used in steam generation systems before the demineralization columns, removing free chloride and organic matter from the water.
The use of pulverized activated carbon is very common in municipal water treatment systems, in various dosages, where it adsorbs undesirable compounds.
Material is supplied in several different granulometries, according to project specification, palletized in 25kg bags or 1.000kg big bags.
